RPM stand for "Robotics, Parents, Mentors" and is the arm of the team responsible for a lot of the behind-the-scenes support. Made up of parents and mentors, RPM is primarily responsible for doing what the students can’t, or don’t have time to do, themselves. On the administration side, we are responsible for overseeing team registration and some of the record-keeping, as well as the handling of the team finances. On the team-facing side, we coordinate travel (lodging, transportation, and food) for competitions; we plan and feed the team lunch on the long Saturdays during build season; we work with the students to get ideas on what fundraisers they would like to have for the year and then work to implement them; we handle the team spirit-wear sales and distribution. We also try to ensure that the team has some downtime fun with holiday parties and the end of the season banquet.
